Lobster roll

A lobster roll, step by step

The lobster roll ( switched to Beauce , lobster roll in English) is a North American snack made from lobster and hot dog bun. The roll consists of a hot dog bun (usually untoasted), filled with a salad bound by mayonnaise sauce . The salad can be with eggs , chicken , cabbage , etc.

Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 cups coarsely chopped lobsters
  • 4 shallots, chopped into small slices
  • 1 stalk of celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup mayonnaise to taste - chopped lettuce to taste hot dog buns
  • Butter or margarine (for baking bread)
  • Smoked paprika to taste (garnish at end)

The preparation

  • In a dish, combine the lettuce, shallots, celery, lobster and mayonnaise. Put aside.
  • Next, grease both sides of your hot dog buns and grill in a pan over medium heat.
  • Fill your bread with the lobster mixture, sprinkle with smoked paprika to taste and serve.
